Stuck Jobs

Pipeline recovery — jobs in non-terminal status (queued / converting / forwarding) older than the age threshold. Requeue resets the row to queued for ConversionWorkerService to re-pick; Purge moves work/<jobId>/ to work/.purge-<ts>/ as a forensic backup.

Intake

Folder watched for incoming WSI files
Folder where Pathology Engine scans for input files. Ensure it's restricted (read-only to engine).
Number of consecutive stable polls before a file is considered ready.
Delete input files after successful conversion—enable only if you have backups elsewhere.

Remote Support Connector

—
—
—
—
—
—
The dedicated Synthology Support Connector brokers engineer remote-support sessions (licensed as remote_support). Without a tunnel token it is installed but not provisioned and is deliberately not started. See Help → Remote Support Connector for where the token goes.

Conversion

Maximum slides converting simultaneously. Increase if CPU underutilized; decrease if OOM errors occur.

Web / Hosting

Restart the service for host/port changes to take effect.

SynthInSight Analytics Archive

Archive job metadata to gzipped NDJSON before it is pruned (feed SynthInSight). On by default.
Point this at a location SynthInSight can read (a shared path or mounted volume) — the link is this shared filesystem path, not a network call. At the fixed 7-day operational window, job-metadata rows older than 7 days are written here before prune (RI-2026-116/117). Leave empty for the default <dataDir>/analytics-archive.

TLS Certificate

Pathology Engine secures data in transit with TLS — the admin console can terminate HTTPS in-app (a PKCS#12 loaded from the TLS settings), or you can terminate at a reverse proxy. Generate a self-signed certificate for this host with the standalone Certificate Builder: it writes a .pfx (point the in-app TLS certificate path at it) alongside a PEM .crt / .key (for a reverse proxy), plus the SHA-256 fingerprint. Or drop in your own CA-issued certificate. The private key is written on the server and never leaves it.

Import / Export Configuration

Export the full configuration as a JSON file for backup or migration, or import a previously exported configuration. Secrets (the TLS cert password and each destination’s STOW-RS bearer / Basic-auth credentials) are redacted by default and re-applied from the running config on import; tick “Include credentials” to export them passphrase-encrypted for a full cross-host clone.

What this license enables

Install or Replace License

Activate with a one-time token issued by Synthology (online), or install a .lic file directly for an air-gapped / offline site — both on the activation page. No service restart is needed; the license loads in-process.
